NEW DELHI: Former Prime Minister and BJP veteran Atal Bihari Vajpayee was admitted to the AIIMS in Delhi on Monday afternoon for a "routine checkup". He has been suffering from breathing problems for a long time and had to quit politics due to health issues. The dynamic BJP leader is the oldest living ex-Prime Minister of the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited the BJP patriarch at the AIIMS. Modi enquired about the well-being of Vajpayee and met his family members, PTI sources said. The AIIMS administration has said that his condition is stable.
