Uttar Pradesh: 16 dead, over 17 injured as bus overturns in Mainpuri

<strong>New Delhi</strong>: In a major road mishap in Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri, at least 16 people have been reported dead. The bus was commuting from Jaipur to Gursahayganj and reportedly turned turtle on its way. The bus overturned killing at least 16 passengers who were on board and injuring many others. Local reports have it that it was a double-decker bus traveling at a high speed. It toppled after it hit a divider on the way. As per the Superintendent of Police, Mainpuri, Ajay Shanker Rai, apart from those deceased as many as 17 people are injured, out of which 3 have received critical injuries.
